Data Analyst – United States – Remote
Mindoula is dedicated to transforming healthcare delivery through data-driven insights. As a Data Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in analyzing healthcare claims and operational data to uncover trends and improve services. Your work will help us better serve members and deliver public health solutions more efficiently. In this role, you’ll own projects from start to finish, collaborating with business stakeholders to turn insights into actionable strategies. With regular deadlines, your reliability and attention to detail will be critical to our success.
What You’ll Do
- Create and deliver clear, actionable data visualizations and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Enhance business intelligence functionality to enable self-service analytics and automate data requests.
- Design and execute complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that align with business and clinical goals.
- Perform rigorous data validation to ensure data quality, identifying and resolving anomalies or inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements for ad hoc queries and validation requests.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for query processes and data validation workflows, sharing best practices across the team.
What You’ll Need
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Experience: 3+ years as a Data Analyst, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Expertise with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or SuperSet.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
- Analytical Skills:
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a knack for uncovering actionable insights in complex datasets.
- Proven experience with data validation techniques to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Communication:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Mindset:
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple ad hoc requests simultaneously.
