School Data Analyst – United States – Remote

Stride K12 Texas partner schools (TXSS) are seeking passionate educators to join our team and help deliver an exceptional educational experience for students. TXSS focuses on building strong school-community partnerships and using a rigorous, data-driven instructional model to promote student success.
Position Overview:
The School Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting student assessment data to support academic performance and improvements across grades K-12. This role will involve maintaining accurate and confidential student achievement data, conducting data analysis training for staff, and supporting the use of data to enhance instruction and outcomes, particularly for academically at-risk students. The position will also include the application of statistical techniques to data, developing reports, and identifying trends to guide school improvement.
Essential Functions:

- Analyze local, state, and national student performance data to support individual achievement and school-wide improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive data files tracking student and school performance over time.
- Interpret and present assessment data to administrators and educators for use in instructional planning.
- Compile and integrate data from various assessments to create achievement profiles for students, subjects, grade levels, and schools.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to train them on using data to improve instruction and address achievement gaps.
- Ensure the accuracy and validity of data presented to stakeholders.
- Structure large datasets to extract meaningful insights and visualize data through graphs, infographics, and reports.
- Attend training sessions and conferences as needed to stay informed on data analysis best practices.
- Compile grade and course data to produce reports for report cards, funding projections, and performance analysis.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- No formal supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Education, or a related field.
- Experience: At least three (3) years of experience as a data analyst, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience analyzing academic data, including assessment results, to inform instruction and strategic school planning.
- Proficient in working with large data sets, including data interpretation, analysis, and visualization.
- Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, Oracle, or SQL.
- Skilled in using relational database systems to manage, manipulate, and extract data.
- Knowledge of quality management systems, strategic planning, and school improvement processes.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical information related to testing, statistics, and data analysis to a variety of stakeholders, including administrators, teachers, and parents.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data processing software.
- Ability to quickly learn new software and processes as they are introduced.
- Ability to travel at least 15% of the time.
- Must clear a required background check.
Work Environment:
This is a virtual position open to residents of all 50 states and Washington, D.C. The work environment is home-based, and employees are expected to maintain a professional home office without distractions during work hours (typically 9-5 or 8-4, as defined by the school).
