Stride K12’s Texas partner schools (TXSS) are currently seeking a School Data Analyst to help drive student achievement through meaningful data interpretation. This role plays a vital part in identifying trends, supporting instructional decisions, and contributing to the academic success of students—especially those who are academically at risk.


About the Role

As a School Data Analyst, you will manage and analyze K-12 student performance data to support academic growth. You’ll collaborate closely with staff to provide training on data usage, create reports to support instructional strategies, and ensure data-driven decision-making is central to school improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze performance data from local, state, and national sources to support student achievement and drive continuous school improvement.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive databases to track academic progress over time.

  • Translate assessment results into actionable insights for educators and administrators.

  • Build student, class, and school-level achievement profiles by aggregating and analyzing assessment data.

  • Train teachers and staff to use data effectively to enhance instruction and address learning gaps.

  • Ensure all reports and data presented are accurate, reliable, and easy to understand.

  • Use statistical methods and data visualization techniques to present findings clearly through charts, dashboards, and reports.

  • Attend professional development sessions and conferences to stay current on best practices in educational data analysis.

  • Generate reports for grades, course performance, funding projections, and student outcome metrics.


Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Education, or a related field

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant data analysis experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Proven ability to analyze educational data, including assessment results and learning outcomes

  • Proficiency in working with large datasets for analysis and visualization

  • Experience with Python, SQL, Oracle, or similar programming/query languages

  • Solid knowledge of relational databases and data management tools

  • Familiarity with quality assurance systems and school improvement strategies

Soft Skills & Competencies

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Effective at managing multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and data security

  • Capable of working independently and learning new systems quickly

  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and time management skills


Work Conditions

  • This is a fully remote role available to residents across the U.S. and D.C.

  • Standard work hours typically fall between 8 AM and 5 PM, with flexibility based on school needs.

  • Must have a professional home office setup free from distractions.

  • Ability to travel occasionally—up to 15% of the time.

  • Employment is contingent upon passing a background check.
