About the Role: Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst at Stripe, you’ll work with rich datasets to help shape the company’s strategy, products, and operations. This role goes far beyond reporting—you’ll be a critical partner to teams across Stripe, turning complex data into clear insights, solving high-impact problems, and guiding decision-making with analytical rigor.

What You’ll Do

• Turn data into decisions: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uncover insights and guide strategic and operational decisions.

• Build tools and dashboards: Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, metrics, dashboards, and reports to power business-critical initiatives.

• Drive actionable insights: Use statistical analysis and data storytelling to influence product development, marketing, user experience, and other areas.

• Shape data strategy: Translate business problems into data solutions and proactively identify opportunities for growth and optimization.

• Lead multiple initiatives: Manage complex projects, balance priorities, and deliver results with precision and impact.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

• 2–8+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data science roles

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python

• Strong grasp of statistics and data modeling

• Expertise in data visualization and storytelling

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders

• Clear, compelling communicator—able to influence with data

• Collaborative mindset and ability to partner cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a technical field (Math, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, etc.)

• Experience at a high-growth tech, software, or internet company

• Familiarity with distributed data systems like Hadoop or Spark

• Understanding of best practices in software development, including code reviews and testing

Remote Work at Stripe

This is a remote-friendly position (excluding the Greater Seattle, NYC, and SF Bay areas). If you live more than 35 miles (56 km) from a Stripe office, you are considered remote. You’re welcome at our offices for team events, off-sites, or whenever you’d like—but your primary workspace will be at home.

Compensation & Benefits

U.S. base salary range: $121,800 – $220,300
(Final offer depends on experience, location, and qualifications. Range includes multiple career levels.)
