About the Role

As a Data Analyst II, you’ll support health plan customers in leveraging Availity’s business intelligence tools for data analysis and reporting. You’ll provide training, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reporting needs are met—all while building strong customer relationships.

You will:

  • Train and assist customers on BI tools (e.g., Cognos, Tableau, Power BI).

  • Build custom reports and dashboards; assist in complex data requests.

  • Monitor and respond to customer inquiries via email and JIRA.

  • Lead recurring calls with health plan clients.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve data issues.

  • Document data problems and assist in data cleaning and processing.

  • Support team projects and ad hoc requests.


What You Bring

Required:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.

  • Proficiency in SQL.

  • Experience with BI tools (Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in a Data Analyst or Business Analyst role.

  • Familiarity with the healthcare/payer/insurance industry.

  • Experience with AWS QuickSight.

  • Strong skills in Excel, dashboard creation, and dataset management.
