Your Role

As a key member of our team, you’ll collaborate globally with researchers, data engineers, and business analysts to develop forward-thinking data solutions that directly impact investment decisions. Your work will require strong communication, agile thinking, and the ability to align stakeholders across various departments.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with global research, data engineering, and business teams to develop cutting-edge data products

  • Acting as a liaison between research analysts, engineers, business stakeholders, and delivery teams

  • Participating in brainstorming sessions to create and implement innovative solutions addressing complex investment challenges

  • Converting business needs into actionable project plans and technical specifications

  • Designing, specifying, and overseeing the successful execution of data solutions

  • Extracting valuable insights from both structured and unstructured big data sources

  • Building and maintaining robust, high-quality data assets from diverse data streams

  • Executing data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure data integrity throughout the pipeline

Compensation Details

Location: New York
The base salary range for this position is $145,000 – $172,500, subject to variation based on experience, education, skill level, and location. Your Team

You’ll join the UBS Evidence Lab team in New York, working within the Product group. UBS Evidence Lab is known for delivering data-driven insights that empower clients globally to make smarter investment choices.

Our team specializes in transforming vast amounts of raw data into actionable evidence. Leveraging advanced tools and methodologies, we gather, refine, and connect billions of data points each month. Our expansive asset library spans thousands of companies across all sectors and regions, providing the crucial answers investors seek.

Your Skills and Experience

We’re looking for candidates who bring the following:

  • A university degree, ideally in statistics, mathematics, economics, financial analysis, or a related data-centric field

  • Strong analytical capabilities with keen attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience in storytelling and data visualization for executive audiences

  • Outstanding organization, time management, and presentation skills

  • Ability to convey complex ideas to both technical teams and senior leadership

  • Comfort with juggling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases or experience using Python (especially Pandas)

  • Knowledge of visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus

  • Background in financial services, especially equity research, is highly desirable
