Data Scientist, Product Analytics at Meta – Remote

In this role, you’ll leverage one of the world’s most robust datasets to solve real-world product challenges and create meaningful experiences for billions of users and millions of businesses.

Working at the intersection of data, product, and strategy, you’ll team up with a diverse group of professionals—Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, Data Engineers, Marketers, Sales, and Finance experts—to drive impactful decisions. Your analytical skills, strategic thinking, and product instincts will be key to identifying high-leverage opportunities, refining user experiences, and driving innovation.

What You’ll Do

  • Tackle complex analytical challenges using massive datasets and a range of quantitative methods

  • Lead data-driven strategy by designing metrics, building forecasting models, and conducting exploratory analysis to guide product teams

  • Conduct rigorous analysis to understand user behavior, product performance, and ecosystem dynamics

  • Design and analyze experiments to inform product roadmaps and feature development

  • Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and inform key strategic decisions

  • Communicate results in a compelling, story-driven way that influences partners and leadership teams


Your Skills and Experience

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline—or equivalent practical experience

  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis, product analytics, or a similar role (or 2+ years with a PhD)

  • Strong technical skills in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, R, etc.)

  • Proven experience framing business problems, designing analytical solutions, and executing end-to-end data projects

  • Demonstrated ability to define metrics, analyze user behaviors, design experiments, and make strategic recommendations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, or Economics

  • Deep understanding of experimentation methods, causal inference, and large-scale product ecosystems

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $145,000 – $204,000/year

  • Additional compensation: Bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits package

  • Final compensation is determined by a range of factors including experience, location, and skillset.
