About the Role
We’re seeking a Data Scientist to help drive student success by turning data into actionable insights. Reporting to the Director of Data Science, you will collaborate with analytics teams, leadership, and student support staff to improve the educational experience for both online and on-campus students. This position is remote-friendly, offering the chance to make a real difference in education.
Key Responsibilities

Build predictive models and perform data analyses to solve important educational challenges.

Translate complex data findings into clear, practical advice for various teams.

Use machine learning to enhance analytical tools and improve targeting strategies.

Incorporate external data sources to enrich our datasets and boost analysis capabilities.

Foster a data-driven mindset by sharing insights and encouraging cross-department collaboration.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience in Data Science, Data Engineering, or related fields.

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Applied Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science.

Proficient in Python and SQL.

Demonstrated ability to apply statistical and machine learning methods to solve real-world issues.

Strong communication skills to explain complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience leveraging data science to improve educational outcomes.
Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of generative AI technologies, especially within educational technology settings.
Compensation
This role offers an annual salary between $83,071 and $132,940. The typical hiring range is $91,794 to $124,192, depending on experience, qualifications, and internal alignment.
