Your Role

As a Data Analyst, you’ll collaborate with a team of experts to complete project tasks, build your understanding of water loss strategies, and help drive decisions that shape real-world water management. Over time, you’ll take on more responsibility, co-lead projects, and interact directly with clients to support their operational goals.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Developing expertise in water loss management: Learn and apply industry standards and best practices for identifying and reducing water loss in distribution systems.

  • Analyzing utility data: Use Excel and R to evaluate a variety of data sources such as production records, billing data, and pressure logs to quantify and value water loss.

  • Writing reports: Translate your analysis into clear, concise, and actionable written reports, incorporating uncertainty, recommendations, and visualizations.

  • Communicating with clients: Present findings and train utility staff and stakeholders on water loss management concepts in both formal presentations and informal settings.


What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, technical reporting, and project coordination

  • Knowledge of water distribution systems, utility operations, or public water policy

  • Background in managing projects and meeting deadlines across multiple clients or tasks

  • Proficiency in R or a similar data scripting language

  • Solid skills in Microsoft Excel

  • GIS knowledge is a plus

  • Experience handling, cleaning, and visualizing large, messy datasets

  • Strong technical writing and communication skills

  • Ability to explain complex topics in a simple, engaging way

  • A strong desire to tackle challenges in water conservation and infrastructure

  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity

  • Confident leading conversations with clients and navigating problem-solving situations

  • A positive, team-oriented attitude

Compensation

Salary Range: $65,000–$80,000 per year, plus annual bonus potential.
Final compensation will reflect your skills, experience, and work location.
