Team Overview
We are seeking a skilled and curious data analyst to explore and articulate the economic value Stripe is creating worldwide. You’ll be part of Stripe’s Go-to-Market Analytics team, collaborating closely with our Communications, Public Policy, and Marketing partners to uncover insights, shape narratives, and elevate Stripe’s brand and influence on a global stage.
What You’ll Be Doing
Stripe sits at a unique vantage point with real-time visibility into commerce trends, sector shifts, and international trade. In this role, you’ll harness that data to uncover compelling economic insights, communicate the breadth of Stripe’s impact, and help demonstrate how we are enabling inclusive and dynamic growth online. You’ll help develop rigorous research, build scalable data infrastructure, and present findings in ways that resonate with broad audiences.
Key Responsibilities

Work alongside Communications, Policy, and Marketing teams to scope and execute high-impact research that illustrates Stripe’s role in the evolving digital economy.

Design and maintain robust data pipelines and analytical tools to support real-time and long-term insights using internal and public datasets.

Track and refine key economic metrics tied to Stripe’s mission.

Analyze user behavior, market trends, and economic indicators to surface meaningful insights.

Create compelling presentations, data visualizations, and written reports for senior stakeholders and public audiences.

Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and external partners to produce thought leadership content, reports, and campaigns.

Partner with external researchers, think tanks, and academics to expand Stripe’s research footprint and inform policy positions.
About You
We’re looking for someone who not only meets the baseline criteria but brings curiosity, clarity of thought, and a passion for data-driven storytelling to the table.
Minimum Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in data analytics roles handling large, complex datasets.

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.

Strong command of SQL and Python for data analysis.

Hands-on experience with distributed data processing systems (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).

Proficiency in developing dashboards or self-service tools for non-technical teams.

Solid foundation in statistical analysis.

Demonstrated ability to craft compelling, data-rich stories for public or executive audiences.

Proven track record of managing multiple projects with exceptional attention to detail.

Interest or experience in public economic discourse (via research, writing, analysis, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in a quantitative or technical field.

Experience working in or with public policy, research institutions, or organizations known for economic thought leadership.

Familiarity with survey design, deployment, and analysis.
Work Environment: Hybrid or Remote
This position is available as either an in-office or remote role, depending on your location. For remote employees, Stripe defines this as living 35+ miles (56+ km) from one of our office locations. Office-based employees typically spend 50% of their time on-site to enable collaboration while maintaining flexibility. Stripe does not cover relocation for remote roles.
Compensation and Benefits
In the U.S., the salary range for this role is between $146,900 and $220,300 USD, depending on experience, location, and level. For roles with sales components, this includes On-Target Earnings (OTE).
