Role Overview

We are seeking a Finance Data Analyst who will play a key technical role connecting the Finance organization with our Data Engineering and Product Monetization teams. You will lead the development and maintenance of a robust financial analytics ecosystem, enabling smarter decision-making around usage-based revenue, forecasting, and margin efficiency.

In this role, you will build data models and simulations that power strategic insights for senior leadership, influence pricing and packaging decisions, and support long-term planning. You’ll collaborate across multiple departments, bringing structure to complex data and enabling our teams to move with clarity and confidence.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain scalable dbt models in Snowflake to analyze recurring revenue (ARR), unit economics, and margin trends.

  • Build forecasting tools using Python (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations, time-series modeling) to support revenue and cost projections.

  • Conduct detailed variance analyses to uncover drivers behind budget vs. actual performance across key financial metrics.

  • Work cross-functionally with Product and Monetization teams to simulate pricing changes, feature gating impacts, and usage tier transitions.

  • Automate key reporting workflows, delivering intuitive dashboards and self-service tools trusted by Finance, leadership, and the Board.

  • Implement data validation pipelines and quality monitoring to ensure high trust in all financial data outputs.

  • Share knowledge and best practices with fellow analysts and data engineers, with a focus on dbt architecture, Snowflake optimization, and advanced Python analytics.

Who You Are

  • You bring 7+ years of experience in data analytics or data science, with a focus on financial modeling in SaaS or usage-based environments.

  • You’re highly proficient with dbt (model versioning, testing, CI/CD practices) and Snowflake (cost optimization, RBAC, performance tuning).

  • Strong command of SQL and Python for data analysis, forecasting, and statistical modeling (e.g., pandas, statsmodels, Prophet).

  • Deep understanding of SaaS business metrics: MRR/ARR, CAC/LTV, margin analysis, cohort retention, payback periods, and unit economics.

  • Proven experience in building forecasting models and usage-based frameworks using raw event or telemetry data.

  • You communicate clearly across both technical and executive audiences, distilling complex data into actionable insights.

  • Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Looker, Mode, Tableau, Hex, and a strong foundation in data transformation best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, etc.).

  • Demonstrated success delivering strategic impact through data insights in a fast-paced tech or cloud-based environment.
