At JBREC, our Business Intelligence team is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to help shape our data-driven strategies. You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and improving data models, reports, and dashboards that empower strategic decisions and promote ongoing learning across the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Design & Development
    Build and enhance data models and reporting frameworks aligned with JBREC’s strategic goals.
    Tackle complex data integration challenges using efficient ETL methodologies and handle both structured and unstructured data sources.
    Develop and maintain pipelines connecting multiple systems to ensure data accuracy, availability, and alignment with business needs.
    Use Python and SQL Server to automate processes, optimize data workflows, and safeguard data quality.
    Manage the analytics layer within our cloud data warehouse with an emphasis on precision and scalability.
    Implement best practices for data modeling, governance, security, and optimize system performance.
    Continuously improve data models and pipelines to adapt to evolving requirements.
    Monitor pipeline performance and quickly resolve issues to maintain reliability.

  • API Management & Integration
    Design and maintain API integrations to ensure seamless data flows and warehouse synchronization.
    Create automation scripts and data transformations to streamline business processes.
    Troubleshoot API issues to maintain consistent and accurate data exchange.

  • Reporting & Visualization
    Develop and fine-tune Tableau dashboards and reports to provide actionable business insights.
    Promote a culture of self-service analytics by creating user-friendly tools and guiding business users.

  • Process Improvement
    Collaborate with application owners to optimize data flows and address operational challenges.
    Identify inefficiencies in current data processes and proactively recommend enhancements.
    Streamline pipelines, dashboards, and frameworks to accelerate development and ease of use.

  • Project Leadership
    Lead and contribute to data projects ensuring alignment with business priorities and deadlines.
    Manage competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Team Collaboration & Communication
    Work closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex business challenges.
    Foster a collaborative environment that bridges technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    Adapt to shifting business needs with agility and a positive attitude.

    Proactively identify challenges and devise innovative solutions to improve workflows and outcomes.

  • Documentation
    Produce detailed documentation of data processes, pipelines, and systems for transparency and continuity.
    Share insights and best practices to enhance team efficiency.


Qualifications

  • Technical Skills
    Advanced SQL expertise for data modeling, query optimization, and managing large datasets.
    Strong Python skills for data manipulation, automation, and analysis.
    Experience with cloud data warehouses, especially Azure, to support scalable analytics.
    Proficiency with BI platforms such as Tableau or Power BI to build insightful visualizations.
    Familiarity with API integration and data connectivity best practices.

  • Interpersonal Skills
    Demonstrated ability to independently solve complex, ambiguous problems.
    Strong organizational and project management skills, managing multiple priorities successfully.
    Excellent communicator capable of translating technical details for diverse audiences.

  • Education & Experience
    Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or related field.
    3–5 years experience in data analysis, focusing on pipeline development, data integration, and reporting.
    Minimum 3 years hands-on with SQL Server and Python.
    Knowledge of tools like Google Analytics, WordPress, Salesforce, HubSpot, or Sage is a plus.
