Data Analyst IV – United States – Remote
At CorVel, the Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights, supporting business decisions that drive profitability and success. By identifying opportunities, challenges, and solutions across various departments, the Data Analyst provides vital support for CorVel’s tactical and strategic goals.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and tactical insights by analyzing and interpreting data to create innovative solutions.
- Develop and implement efficient data collection systems and strategies to enhance statistical accuracy and data quality.
- Analyze collected data using statistical techniques and deliver ongoing, insightful reports.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex datasets.
- Manage and deliver end-to-end analytical projects.
- Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to understand context and business value in data.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, gaining an in-depth understanding of data and processes to develop tailored analytical solutions.
- Create clear, dynamic, and impactful reports and dashboards using standard business intelligence tools to address complex business challenges.
- Complete additional projects and duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to source data both internally and externally.
- Passion for deriving actionable insights from data to meet business objectives.
- Advanced computer proficiency and technical aptitude.
- Strong analytical abilities to collect, organize, and analyze large datasets with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative field.
- 2–5 years of experience in data analysis.
- Familiarity with statistical and business intelligence tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, SAS, Tableau, Chartio).
- Experience with reporting packages (e.g., Business Objects), databases (SQL Server, SSIS), and programming (SML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks).
- Exposure to data models, database design, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
Compensation
CorVel follows a market-based approach to compensation, with salary ranges reflecting factors such as federal, state, and local wage requirements, geographic location, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Pay ranges may be adjusted based on the role level determined during the interview process.
Pay Range: $67,086–$111,634
