Data Analyst IV – United States – Remote

At CorVel, the Data Analyst is essential to converting raw data into meaningful insights that drive informed business decisions and contribute to overall company growth and profitability. This role involves uncovering trends, pinpointing challenges, and identifying opportunities across multiple departments to support both tactical actions and long-term strategies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver strategic and operational insights by analyzing data and crafting innovative solutions to complex problems.

  • Design and maintain effective data collection methods to improve data accuracy and reliability.

  • Apply statistical methods to analyze datasets and generate regular reports that provide valuable business intelligence.

  • Detect and interpret patterns, trends, and anomalies within large and complex data sources.

  • Lead analytics projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.

  • Act as a bridge between business units and technical teams to translate data findings into business context and value.

  • Develop strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of business processes and data requirements.

  • Produce clear, engaging reports and interactive dashboards using leading BI tools to solve business challenges.

  • Complete additional duties and projects as required to support company goals.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and data interpretation.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to gather and integrate data from diverse internal and external sources.

  • Enthusiasm for turning complex data into actionable business insights.

  • Advanced technical skills and comfort with data analysis tools.

  • Sharp analytical mindset with attention to detail in managing large datasets.

  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, and time management abilities.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related fields.

  • Between 2 and 5 years of experience in data analytics or a related role.

  • Familiarity with statistical software and business intelligence platforms such as Excel, SPSS, SAS, Tableau, or Chartio.

  • Experience working with reporting tools (e.g., Business Objects), databases like SQL Server, ETL processes, and programming languages such as SML or JavaScript.

  • Knowledge of data modeling, database design principles, data mining, and segmentation methods.


Compensation

CorVel offers competitive salaries based on market data, geographic considerations, experience, education, and internal benchmarks. Salary ranges may vary depending on role level and interview outcomes.

Salary Range: $67,086 – $111,634
