At the core of Netflix’s innovation is the Data Science and Engineering (DSE) team, which leverages analytics and data science to drive smarter decision-making across the business. We’re looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Games DSE group and take the lead on analytics initiatives that support and shape the future of Netflix Games.

As a key member of this growing team, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across Netflix Games to develop insights, build tools, and influence the strategic direction of our gaming experiences. Your contributions will help us better understand game performance, player engagement, and how we can continue delivering world-class interactive content.

What You’ll Do

• Partner directly with teams across Netflix Games—such as our in-house Game Studios, Product, Strategy, and Planning—to lead data efforts and analytics strategy.

• Build and maintain end-to-end reporting systems, dashboards, and tools that enable decision-making for a wide range of stakeholders.

• Analyze gameplay and engagement data to deliver actionable insights that improve user experience and game performance.

• Work cross-functionally with designers, engineers, and product managers to align on goals and shape data-informed strategies.

• Collaborate with data engineering to ensure clean, reliable, and accessible datasets for ongoing analysis.

• Influence the broader data strategy for Netflix Games by delivering both lightweight analytic tools and scalable systems for long-term impact.

Who You Are

• Have 6+ years of experience in data analytics, ideally within the gaming industry, with a proven track record of influencing live service game performance.

• Proficient in SQL and Python (or similar tools/languages), with deep knowledge of working with large, complex datasets and distributed data systems like Spark or Hadoop.

• Skilled in creating and managing interactive data visualizations using tools like Tableau or equivalent platforms.

• Strong communicator with excellent collaboration skills and business intuition, capable of influencing across multiple teams.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, prioritizing effectively, and working autonomously with minimal oversight.

• Experienced in managing diverse stakeholder expectations and fostering strong cross-functional partnerships.

Compensation & Benefits

At Netflix, we tailor compensation to reflect your unique skillset, experience, and impact. We operate on a total compensation model, where you choose how to split your pay between base salary and stock options annually.

• The total compensation range for this role is $100,000 to $720,000, depending on your location, experience, and market conditions.

• Netflix does not offer bonuses; instead, we provide flexibility in how you receive your compensation.
