Position Overview

Join our Data Science Fraud team where you will contribute to developing innovative Fraud & Risk solutions. Your role will focus on:

  • Identifying identity theft, synthetic identity fraud, and first-party fraud activities

  • Building and refining machine learning models using the latest algorithms and technologies

  • Designing and maintaining large-scale data processing pipelines

  • Assessing the value and impact of new data sources

  • Supporting the analytical needs of Socure’s Fraud & Risk product line

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage scalable pipelines to process complex, high-volume, multi-dimensional datasets

  • Translate business needs into robust, efficient data solutions

  • Offer analytical expertise to support the big data science initiatives

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and take full ownership of your projects

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)

Preferred:

  • Up to two years of experience in a similar data science or fraud analytics role

  • Strong foundation in statistical techniques and machine learning, particularly related to fraud detection

  • Proficient in Python programming

  • Experience with big data frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or equivalent

  • Skilled in SQL and relational database management

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Databricks, and related big data tools

  • Ability to create meaningful reporting dashboards

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Additional Details

  • Travel requirement: less than 10%

  • Work environment: Fully remote

  • Salary range: $105,000 – $126,000
