About the Opportunity
As a Data Scientist at SNHU, you’ll play a critical role in advancing student success through data-driven insights. Reporting to the Director of Data Science, you’ll work collaboratively with analytics teams, leadership, and student-facing staff to enhance educational experiences for both on-campus and online learners.
This role is remote-friendly and provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in education.
What You’ll Do
- Develop predictive models and conduct data analyses to address key challenges in education.
- Translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for diverse teams.
- Apply machine learning techniques to enhance analytical tools and targeting strategies.
- Integrate external data sources to enrich datasets and improve analytical capabilities.
- Promote a data-driven culture by effectively communicating insights and fostering collaboration across departments.
What We’re Looking For
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in Data Science, Data Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Applied Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science).
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Proven experience applying statistical and machine learning techniques to solve real-world problems.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience using data science to enhance educational outcomes.
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with generative AI product development in educational technology applications.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is $83,071 – $132,940, with a target hiring range of $91,794 – $124,192, based on skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
