Position: Healthcare Analytics & Data Scientist
In this role, you will lead key healthcare analytics projects by applying advanced statistical and computational techniques to improve health outcomes, elevate member experiences, and reduce costs. Collaborating across departments, you’ll provide actionable insights, design innovative models, and tackle practical healthcare challenges with data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Model Building

Conduct comprehensive analyses of healthcare datasets to identify actionable insights that improve operational performance and revenue.

Design, develop, and validate scalable predictive models using cutting-edge statistical and computational methods.

Methodically carry out data science experiments to deliver impactful healthcare solutions.

Cleanse and validate data to maintain consistency and accuracy throughout datasets.
Strategic Analytics and Insights

Drive strategic health plan analytics and planning across various business units, ensuring alignment with operational goals and regulatory compliance.

Detect emerging trends and opportunities within Medicaid, Medicare, and Marketplace policies that support enhanced member care and provider reimbursement.

Develop and communicate analytical frameworks and data-driven recommendations to business partners and leadership to close gaps and boost outcomes.
Collaboration and Leadership

Provide mentorship and guidance to team members while overseeing the delivery of analytical projects.

Work closely with cross-functional teams and health plans to design and evaluate payment integrity initiatives, delivering actionable insights.

Present complex data findings clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders.
Technology and Innovation

Utilize technologies such as Hadoop, Power BI, Python, SQL, Apache Superset, and Toad Automation for data extraction and solution implementation.

Apply Python packages to build predictive models focused on patient populations and detect unusual provider activity.

Analyze large-scale, multidimensional data to develop novel techniques for feature selection and trend identification.
Qualifications
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
Experience:
-
Minimum of 5 years leading healthcare analytics initiatives.

At least 7 years of professional experience, preferably within the healthcare industry.

Expertise with analytical tools and frameworks including Hadoop, Power BI, R, Python, SQL, Apache Superset, and healthcare-specific data science libraries.

Strong understanding of relational databases and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts.

Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve complex, undefined problems effectively.
Compensation
-
Annual salary range: $117,731 – $275,491.

Actual pay will reflect factors such as location, experience, education, and skills.
