Position: HR Help Desk Specialist

This temporary, full-time role serves as the first point of contact for all Human Resources-related inquiries, providing exceptional support to employees through HR Help Desk channels (phone, live chat, email) and utilizing HR systems to resolve issues efficiently. The HR Help Desk Specialist also supports the broader Human Resources Department with a variety of administrative tasks, ensuring smooth HR operations.


Key Responsibilities

As a member of the dynamic HR Shared Services team, you will:

  • Serve as the initial triage for HR inquiries, covering areas such as benefits, payroll, training, HR policies, labor relations, leave programs, and more.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to employee inquiries, supporting employee transitions (onboarding, offboarding, FMLA, life insurance, etc.).
  • Assess the priority of inquiries and escalate complex issues to the appropriate tier for resolution.
  • Analyze and resolve HR issues systematically, coordinating resolutions across relevant departments and communicating outcomes effectively.
  • Maintain and develop content for the HRSolutions knowledge management platform to enhance cross-training and collaboration.
  • Stay updated on all CAES HR programs and services to ensure first-contact resolution whenever possible.
  • Input and manage employee data in Oracle HCM, ERP, and time-recording systems.
  • Process HR-related documentation, such as leave of absence forms and tuition reimbursement requests.
  • Provide one-on-one support for HR systems (e.g., Oracle HCM, iCIMS, ADP).

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of experience in Human Resources.
  • 1+ years of experience using an HRIS system.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in an HR Shared Services or HR Center of Excellence (CoE) environment, providing Tier 1 support.

Compensation

  • Hourly Range: $22.00–$27.00.
  • Pay within the range may vary based on factors such as geographical location, job responsibilities, education, and experience.
