About the Team

The U.S. Consumer Services (USCS) team leads our broad portfolio of consumer card products and services in the U.S.—from premium and co-branded cards to cashback and lending offerings. Within this group, the Product Data Analytics team plays a critical role, using data to drive strategy and improve customer experiences.

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Product Data Analytics to join our high-performing, globally distributed team. This individual will support the evolution and strategy of our Premium Consumer Card products, especially focusing on dining-related partnerships and experiences, such as Resy. The role offers significant visibility with leadership and involves collaborating across teams to influence strategic decisions with data.


Key Responsibilities

  • Use data-driven insights to refine and enhance American Express premium card offerings

  • Drive engagement strategies, especially in the dining vertical, by analyzing customer behavior and market trends

  • Support benefit optimization and evaluate product value propositions

  • Partner closely with teams such as Resy (Data, Marketing, Sales) to provide analytical input and performance tracking

  • Develop robust dashboards and reporting mechanisms for key product levers

  • Identify customer needs and business opportunities through advanced analytics and modeling


What You Bring to the Table

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong strategic mindset with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Hands-on experience with statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and large data sets

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams

  • Deep understanding of customer behavior and the economics of card products

  • Experience in loyalty and charge card analytics is a plus

  • Effective stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities

Technical Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Computer Science)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience using analytics to influence business strategy

  • Strong programming proficiency with tools such as SQL, Python, and Big Data frameworks

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI

  • Proven track record of driving actionable insights from complex data sets

  • Experience in managing diverse, cross-functional teams is a bonus


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $90,000 – $165,000 annually (plus performance-based bonus and benefits)

  • Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors
