About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Data Analyst (Contract) who is passionate about turning data into insights and insights into action. In this role, you’ll lead the evolution of Loyal’s external reporting function, balancing the need for timely, accurate reporting with a vision for automation and scalability.

You’ll own key dashboards, respond to customer data requests, and partner across teams to create clear, impactful data visualizations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex data challenges, scaling reporting systems, and building compelling visual narratives.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and continuously improve Loyal’s external reports and data dashboards

• Develop and refine Power BI dashboards for customer-facing insights

• Standardize reporting metrics and visualization best practices across products

• Automate recurring workflows using Python and SQL to reduce manual effort

• Deliver data-driven visuals to support business cases, ROI models, and executive reviews

• Manage and prioritize ad hoc customer data requests with speed and accuracy

• Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities

• Collaborate with Product and Design to enhance the in-app reporting experience

• Audit current reporting assets—consolidating, templatizing, or retiring where needed

• Create scalable solutions for frequently requested reports and insights

What You Bring

• 5+ years in a Data Analyst, BI, or data visualization-focused role

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Advanced SQL skills and deep familiarity with relational databases

• Expert-level Power BI capabilities, including automated dashboards and embedded analytics

• Strong proficiency in Python, particularly for APIs, data wrangling (pandas), and automation

• Experience building visual data stories using tools like Power BI, Looker Studio, or Tableau

• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights

• Exceptional communication and prioritization skills

• Solid understanding of database structure and entity relationships

• Strong G Suite skills (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)

Proven ability to manage multiple reporting projects and deliver on competing priorities

Bonus Points For

• Experience in healthcare technology or AI-driven platforms

• Master’s degree or advanced training in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics

• Prior experience in a SaaS environment or high-growth startup

• Familiarity with additional BI tools like Tableau, Google Data Studio, or similar

Comfort working in dynamic, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments

Compensation & Contract Details

• 30 hours/week

• Initial 3-month contract with potential for extension (6–9 months)

Competitive hourly rate based on experience
